New Education Advocacy Group Launches in Los Altos School District

Each Student Counts puts the focus of education back on the kids

May 14, 2014 – Los Altos, CA

Each Student Counts, a non-profit organization comprised of Los Altos School District  residents, parents and voters, has launched to promote strong leadership, fiscal responsibility and transparency in the Los Altos School District.

“Each Student Counts is here to bring the focus of education back to our children", said Rob Fagen, president of Each Student Counts. “We advocate building the best public educational system for all the children living within the district, a system that celebrates and serves everyone's needs.”

Often overlooked is the fact that LASD spans  not just Los Altos but also, portions of Los Altos Hills, Mountain View and Palo Alto.  “We are a diverse community, spanning four cities,” said Javier Ruiz, Each Student Counts Board Advisor. “We plan to advocate for all students living within the district.”

Each Student Counts will focus on informing and educating the voting public about issues that affect all of our children’s education. We want to foster open, honest and civil debate when the community discusses this crucial community resource. To that end, we are committed to a balanced, fact-based approach to the issues.
